The Man That Finished The Race
June 13, 1956 – December 20, 2016
As many of you have already heard, our beloved John Zammetti (John, Johnny, Z-Man, Dad, Father, Pops, Popop, Brother …) has passed away. This came as a shock to us all leaving us in disbelief. If you’re reading this, then you probably cared for him on some level and the feeling was probably mutual. At the risk of sounding cliche, he really did touch all of our lives and there are absolutely no words that can be said to honor John to the degree he deserved.
John is survived by his wife, a son, two daughters, nine grandchildren, and a multitude of family and friends. He will be missed dearly.
What can you do?
Many are wondering what they can do for the family or the ministry. Honestly, we’re just as lost as you. Mourn, pray, remember the good times; I don’t think there’s any right or wrong. One thing I do know, he would certainly not want any of us to be angry with or question God, whom he served with honor. In fact, he might even want this tragic time to be used as a reason for us to walk closer to The Father. Yep, that’s John alright, still trying to minister even now.
Some have also asked specifically about meals, money, and other donations. There is absolutely no obligation for any of this so you are off the hook. However, we all deal in our own way and if you feel compelled to do so, please watch this page for further updates. Many of you are asking about flowers or donations in memory of Z. I think we all know how Z feels about flowers. We are asking that in lieu of flowers, donations be given to support Donna Zammetti and her family. You may send directly to her or you may send to “Shellie Howard Creasy” and the Lady Saints will take care of getting it to her.
